The Qatar Red Crescent office in Yemen has commenced the final stages of the dialysis center project at Ibn Khaldoon Hospital in Lahj Governorate. This initiative is part of the broader health sector support projects and marks a significant milestone as the first of its kind at the governorate level.
The primary objective of the project is to enhance the local health infrastructure while providing improved healthcare and safe treatment for kidney patients in Lahj and neighboring governorates. Upon completion, the dialysis center will offer vital services, including 12 dialysis units capable of accommodating up to 500 patients per month. Additionally, medical consultations will be available for patients with renal failure.
Mr. Ahmed Abdullah Turki, the governor and head of the local council in Lahj governorate, emphasized the paramount importance of this specialized center. It signifies a significant advancement in healthcare facilities within the governorate and will play a pivotal role in reducing the burden and suffering experienced by citizens residing in the area and its surroundings. Mr. Turki commended the Qatar Red Crescent for their unwavering support of health projects at the governorate level.
