On Wednesday, United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) announced the arrival of a cargo plane at Aden International Airport carrying 2.7 million doses of life-saving vaccines to protect Yemeni children from diseases.

In a tweet, UNICEF said the vaccines will help protect 200,000 Yemeni children under the age of two from preventable diseases.

UNICEF is one of the international organizations supporting the health sector in Yemen, which suffers from continuous collapse due to the conflict.
