In a collaborative effort between “Al-Areej Foundation for Development” and “Al-Hikma Al-Yamania Association for Charity (HYAC)”, an important project has been launched to address malnutrition cases among pregnant and lactating mothers, as well as children under the age of five in Lahj governorate. The initiative, generously funded by the Arab World Committee “Society for the Revival of Islamic Heritage in Kuwait”, aims to assist 130 displaced families residing in the Kandam and Al-Khadra camps, along with the host community in the Tuban district of Lahj governorate.
Mr. Wassim Al-Qubati, the Director of Health Projects at HYAC, emphasized the significance of this undertaking as it specifically targets the most vulnerable individuals affected by malnutrition. It is noteworthy that this project operates under the slogan “Kuwait beside you” and falls within the framework of charitable and humanitarian initiatives supported by the State of Kuwait, in close coordination with the Public Health and Population Office in Lahj Governorate.
