Funded by Kuwait Society for Humanitarian Work, and supervised and implemented by Al-Jabal Development Foundation, the work of the seventh free medical camp for eye operations, cataract removal and lens implantation began in Aden. The project targeted 154 cases of poor groups, and is  under the supervision of the ophthalmologist Dr. Hassan Zain.

Dr. Montaser Farid, Director of Al-Jabal Developmental Foundation, stated that the aim of establishing this medical and surgical camp for eye patients is to help the needy and the poor who are unable to afford the cost of performing surgeries in private hospitals.

He added that eye patients will undergo cataract removal operations with a modern laser device, and will be followed up periodically. Lenses will also be implanted and medicines and eyeglasses will be dispensed to patients for free.

He also praised the efforts made by the State of Kuwait represented by Kuwait Society for Humanitarian Work and Al-Jabal Development Foundation for the poor and most needy groups in Yemen in the medical and humanitarian fields.
