The Yemeni Women’s Union in Aden, with funding from the “Search for Common Ground” organization, has successfully implemented a five-day training course titled “The Art of Resin.” This initiative is part of the Women in National Support 2023 project and specifically aims to empower 15 girls.
Fatima Moraisi, the President of the Yemeni Women’s Union in Aden, highlighted that the primary objective of this course is to nurture and enhance the talents of these girls, ultimately leading to sustainable development and the eradication of poverty. Various development programs tailored to meet the needs of these girls will be employed, offering them opportunities to engage in small projects and enter the labor market, thereby enabling them to provide for their own needs.
Ikhlas Mohammed Nasser Abdullah, the project coordinator, emphasized that the training course specifically targets vulnerable women, particularly those who have experienced abuse due to their marginalized position in society. By providing them with this distinctive course, the project aims to empower, train, and create opportunities for them to enter the labor market. The initial focus will be on guiding these women through the first steps of the course and ensuring effective implementation.
