  • Life-Saving Food Aid Project Launched in Five Yemeni Governorates

Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), in partnership with the Humanitarian Development Program in Aden, has launched the project “Life-Saving Food Assistance for the Neediest Families in Yemen for the year 2023” in Aden, Abyan, Lahj, Al-Dhali’ and Taiz governorates. The project aims to distribute 119,394 food baskets in 6 rounds to 170,478 individuals from the neediest families.
Salih Mahmood, the Deputy Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, called on international and local organizations and supporting entities to implement sustainable development programs that contribute to the early recovery phase. He praised the humanitarian efforts and interventions provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief.
Furthermore, the project’s assistant director, Suhaib Joban, emphasized that the project is a rapid result of partnership and a response to the urgent and life-saving food needs of a wide segment of the most affected and vulnerable Yemeni families.
