Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

King Abdulaziz Administration team, as part of a unified team with the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY), visited the Yemeni city of Shibam to discuss multiple heritage and cultural projects in the governorate. The visit aims to prepare for the preservation of the unique heritage that Shibam city is known for.
During the visit, the team explored the city, familiarizing themselves with documentation methods for traditional arts, architecture, decorations, and crafts. They also discussed ways to enhance skills in these arts through training, the creation of a commemorative publication about the city, and the establishment of a library dedicated to history, heritage, and traditional arts. Additionally, the team visited the Al-Ahqaf Manuscripts Library to assess its needs and explore methods of preserving the documents and manuscripts it houses.
