Kuwait Society for Relief (KSR) – Yemen Office has provided over 500 comprehensive food baskets to internally displaced persons (IDP) and impoverished families affected by difficult circumstances in the governorates of Lahj and Taiz. This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to alleviate the suffering of people living in harsh conditions due to the humanitarian crisis in Yemen. The food baskets included essential food items such as rice, flour, sugar, oil, milk, pasta, tea, and canned goods.
Both Omar Al-Sammati, Advisor to the Governor of Lahj for Organizational Affairs and Director of the Executive Unit for IDP Camp Management in Lahj, and Mukhtar Abdu Ali Mohammed, Director of the Office of Social Affairs and Labor in Taiz, praised the efforts of the KSR and its humanitarian interventions to support vulnerable and needy groups.
They emphasized the importance of joint efforts and continued cooperation to address humanitarian challenges and meet the food needs of the poor and displaced. Dr. Adel Ba’ashen, Deputy Director of the KSR – Yemen Office, explained that these aid efforts aim to provide food and livelihood support to the poor and needy, to alleviate the burden on struggling families and provide them with a dignified life.
