On Tuesday, the second component of the Renewable Energy Project was inaugurated in three governorates: Hadhramout, Abyan and Lahj. The project is funded by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, the Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND) and Silah Foundation for Development. The component provides 35 agricultural irrigation systems powered by solar energy.
The inauguration of the project witnessed the signing of three contracts between the consulting body, the implementing contractor and the 580 farmers benefiting from the project.
