The third phase of the volunteer medical program has been launched at Aden Hospital (Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital) in Aden. This phase focuses on orthopedics and joint replacement, led by specialized medical professionals from Saudi Arabia. The program is implemented and supervised by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), with support and coordination from the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY).

SDRPY has played a key role in operationalizing Aden Hospital by providing top medical personnel across 14 specialized clinics, in addition to a cardiac center.

The volunteer medical program comprises several initiatives across various specialties, aiming to cover and reduce humanitarian needs in Yemen across all governorates. These initiatives include projects focused on open-heart surgery and catheterization, neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, burns and deformities, as well as specialized clinics.
