The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries in the temporary capital, Aden, discussed with the American Samaritan’s Purse the interventions and projects that the organization has implemented in the agriculture and fisheries sectors, and the “Your Power” livelihood project, which includes supporting poor families in Aden who raise livestock and market dairy products.

The meeting, which was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry for the Fisheries Production and Marketing Sector, Ghazi Lahmar, and the organization’s team, addressed the livelihood project that is scheduled to be implemented in the coming period, which targets the fisheries sector in the Aden and Taiz governorates by supporting fishermen with boats and engines, and targeting women’s fishing associations to train coastal women in the manufacture of fishing nets and food industries.

In addition to the possibility of the organization implementing future interventions in fish marketing projects by establishing central markets for selling fish in the temporary capital, Aden, and setting up sales points in the directorates to contribute to providing citizens with high-quality fish products at appropriate prices.
