  • King Salman Center Delivers Craft Tools for Income-Generating Projects to Orphan Families in Taiz

As part of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center’s efforts to support and empower orphan families in Yemen, it delivered 50 economic empowerment bags containing craft tools to orphan beneficiaries in Taiz Governorate on Monday, as part of the second phase of the Orphan Sponsorship and Economic Empowerment Project.

The project aims to sponsor 1300 orphans directly from orphan families in eight Yemeni governorates (Aden, Lahj, Marib, al-Mahra, Hadhramaut, Hodeidah, Taiz and al-Jawf) for a full year, which contributes to creating sustainable job opportunities for families who have lost their breadwinner and transforming them into productive families.

This qualitative project is an important step in helping orphan families achieve self-sufficiency and improve their living standards, as it will provide them with sustainable job opportunities through income-generating projects in various fields such as mobile phone maintenance, hairdressing, incense and perfume making, sweets and pastry making, henna art, electrical installations, solar energy systems, sewing, embroidery, and home accessories making.
