  • The Red Crescent And The ICRC Distribute Food To 550 Displaced Families

Khabar Khair (Only Good News) – Sarah Al-Muhalwi

Violent clashes in several Yemeni regions in recent years have caused the displacement of large numbers of families and forced them to flee their homes, causing a worsening in the economic and humanitarian situation. Declining economic growth is an additional major factor of suffering. The collapse of the economy and the currency continued in light of the depletion of foreign exchange reserves and the inability of the government to provide foodstuffs. In light of the efforts made to alleviate the stifling humanitarian crisis, the Yemeni Red Crescent, Abyan branch, with the support of the headquarters of the Yemen Red Crescent Society and the ICRC, distributed food items to 550 displaced families, according to the relief program for the displaced in the governorate. This comes in an attempt to alleviate the humanitarian suffering of the displaced families and provide them with a decent life.
