The Kuwait Relief Society in the Lahij Governorate has opened a project to equip and furnish two schools (Khadija for girls and Al-Qadisiyah School for Boys). The project equipped and furnished the two schools, which consisted of furnishing the administrative offices of chairs, desks, printing and photocopying machines, study chairs and cupboards, in addition to solar panels with all their necessities, in addition to nursing beds and air conditioners.
It is worth mentioning that two schools (Khadija and Al-Qadisiyah) had previously rehabilitated, restored and maintained them with funding from the Kuwait Relief Society, and the project aims to help create a conducive environment for the continuation of the educational process.
Dr. Muhammad Omar Basim, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, thanked the State of Kuwait and the Kuwait Relief Society for their support to the Yemeni people in various sectors, stressing that this project helps create a suitable environment for teachers and students in the governorate.
On the other hand, Eng. Adel Mukhtar, Director of Programs and Projects in the Association, said that the project is furnishing administrative offices and classrooms, and the project came in response to the needs presented by the Education Office in Lahj Governorate.
