Khabar Khair (Only Good News)
Funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the Society for Humanitarian Solidarity (SHS) has initiated the rapid distribution of aid to 500 families affected by Cyclone Tej in the Hadibu area of Socotra Governorate.
Sami Mohamed Arji, the field coordinator of SHS in Socotra Governorate, affirmed that this distribution of aid is a prompt response aimed at alleviating the suffering of Cyclone Tej’s victims. He elaborated on the contents of the aid package, stating that each family will receive cartons of legumes, tuna, a dignity bag, personal care items, plastic buckets, and plastic jugs.
The beneficiaries of this assistance expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the supporters of this aid, as well as to SHS for their commendable humanitarian efforts. They also appealed to international organizations and local authorities to extend further support in order to address the dire consequences left by the cyclone.
