Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

According to a statement by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the “Qatar Charity” pledged to provide $100 million in response to the humanitarian needs of one million refugees and internally displaced persons in 10 countries, including Yemen.
The announcement was made during the Global Refugee Forum in Geneva, Switzerland. According to the UNHCR, the support will cover areas in South Asia, the Middle East, North and East Africa, as well as Yemen, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Somalia, Sudan, and Syria.
Lolwah Al-Khater, the Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, renewed her country’s commitment to cooperate with the UNHCR to protect refugees around the world and provide the necessary support for its efforts to protect and assist refugees.
