  • Provision of Relief Aid to 14,000 Newly Internally Displaced People in Yemen.

Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

Last Tuesday, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) provided relief aid to about 14,000 newly displaced people as a result of the ongoing conflict and climate-driven heavy rains in Yemen.

According to UNFPA, “since January 2024, UNFPA-led life-saving emergency relief through the UN Rapid Response Mechanism has assisted 13,678 newly displaced individuals across Yemen due to conflict, climate-driven heavy rains and floods, in partnership with.”

This aid was provided “in partnership with the European Union (EU), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund (UNCERF),” stated UNFPA.
