  • Organizing a Train-the-Trainers Workshop on International Health Regulations and its Core Capacity Requirements for Personnel from Various Sector

Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

Towards building a resilient healthcare system in Yemen, WHO organized a Train-the-Trainers Workshop on International Health Regulations (IHR) and core capacities at points of entry—airports, seaports, and ground crossings—for personnel from various sectors. Also, WHO supported the implementation of assessments at strategic entry points to enhance preparedness and response to public health threats from unexpected sources.

This initiative comes at a time when Yemen’s health infrastructure faces challenges exacerbated by the conflict, in addition to an increase in health emergencies, some of which arise from unexpected sources.
