  • Ongoing Distribution of Temporary Housing for Displaced Individuals in Ma’rib Governorate

Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

Benevolence Coalition for Humanitarian Relief (BCHR), with the support of the British organization ShelterBox, has initiated the distribution of transitional shelters for displaced individuals in Ma’rib Governorate, central Yemen. These shelters are comprised of durable iron networks tailored to withstand the region’s challenging climatic conditions.

This project has successfully provided shelter to 300 families residing in Al-Naseem, Ardh Aljannatin, At-Tasamoh, and Hawsh Al-Sahn camps within the governorate. The project’s objective is to extend support to 915 displaced families by offering sustainable shelter, non-food items, and fire extinguishers. Additionally, it aims to supply shelter materials to 500 families during emergency situations.

Ma’rib Governorate serves as a refuge for a substantial number of displaced individuals who have sought sanctuary from conflict-ridden areas. International and local organizations have intensified their efforts to aid this vulnerable population, disproportionately impacted by climate change and requiring urgent assistance.
