The World Health Organization announced, on Thursday, the arrival of more than one hundred thousand doses of vaccine against Corona virus, to the temporary capital, Aden. The organization said in its account on Twitter that 100,800 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine had arrived in Aden through the global COVAX initiative. It added that nearly 760,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Yemen, with support from WHO, the World Bank and other partners.

This shipment represents an important step in the fight against COVID-19 in Yemen. It will help save lives, including those most at risk of serious disease, and it help protect the health system. Yemen is witnessing the spread of Corona virus, as health authorities recorded (11754) confirmed cases, including (2,131) deaths and (8,600) cases of recovery, in the governorates under the control of the legitimate government.
