The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) has announced the continuation of construction works in four educational projects located in four Yemeni governorates: Shabwa, Abyan, Lahj, and Al-Dhalea.
These projects are implemented by the Social Development Fund (SDF) in Yemen with the aim of establishing facilities and model schools.
According to the SDRPY, these educational projects include the establishment of Nassaab School in Nassaab District, Shabwa governorate. The project also includes the establishment of the Late Dr. Alawi Najeeb School for primary and secondary education in Khanfar District, Abyan governorate. Additionally, there is the establishment of the Late Mohammed Ahmed Najeeb School for primary and secondary education in Al-Musaimir District, Lahj governorate. Lastly, there is the establishment of the Al-Hamza Secondary School in Al-Dhalea governorate.
SDRPY emphasized in its statement that the work on these projects is progressing rapidly. It has provided support to the education sector in Yemen through 52 projects, including the initiative to establish 31 model schools and a center for talented students. These schools are equipped with science laboratories, computer labs, and sports fields for various sports, in addition to providing them with desks, chairs, and school supplies. It is worth mentioning that the SDRPY has implemented 229 projects and a developmental initiative in various Yemeni governorates, serving the Yemeni brothers in seven key sectors: education, health, water, energy, transportation, agriculture, fisheries, and capacity building for government institutions, in addition to developmental programs.
