Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

Funded by the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and implemented by the Benevolence Coalition for Humanitarian Relief (BCHR), Al-Mukalla Maternity and Childhood Hospital in Hadhramout Governorate has inaugurated a birth certificate issuance office. This initiative is part of an emergency response project aimed at assisting children affected by the conflict.
The project also encompasses the establishment of community centers and child-friendly spaces in Hadhramout and Ma’rib governorates. Its objective is to facilitate the prompt issuance of birth certificates for citizens.
Since the inception of the project, birth certificates have already been issued to multiple newborns at Al-Mukalla Maternity and Childhood Hospital. The opening ceremony was attended by esteemed individuals, including Dr. Fouzia Grama, the UNICEF Office Director in Mukalla, Dr. Ibtisam Al-Ma’arri, the Director of Al-Mukalla Maternity and Childhood Hospital, Mr. Mohammed Bajaber, the Director of Media and Public Relations at BCHR, Ms. Iman Al-Zubairi, the Protection Officer, and Ms. Ra’ida Ruweshid, the Project Manager.
