The Yemeni Red Crescent Society (YRCS) has launched the distribution of cash aid in the second and third phases in the city of Sayun, Hadhramout. The project aims to assist 500 vulnerable households, including the elderly, those in need, and individuals suffering from various illnesses, based on the criteria set by the donors. This initiative comes amidst the critical economic situation faced by the people in Yemen.
According to a reliable source from the YRCS, the cash assistance is delivered to the beneficiaries through a message containing the transfer number, which they receive on their phones. They can then easily collect the aid from designated exchange locations without any hassle.
Informed sources indicate that the objective of this assistance is to alleviate the social hardships faced by the beneficiaries, particularly in accessing treatments for chronic illnesses and meeting their various needs, including food and other essentials.
