Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

With the continued rains and as a rapid humanitarian response to the camps for the displaced in Sana’a governorate, the YGUSSWP, with the support of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in coordination with the branch of the Supreme Council for the Administration and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, launched the Protection and Assistance Services Project in the field of shelter and non-food items (Community Center for the Displaced in Sana’a Governorate 2022).

Non-food items and emergency shelter bags were distributed in addition to blankets in a number of camps in Sana’a governorate, where 99 emergency shelters were distributed to 99 displaced families, in addition to 758 blankets for 379 families in Al-Ataz camp in Bani Hashish District, Sana’a Governorate. The intervention is in response to the damage to many camps for the displaced in Sana’a governorate as a result of the continued rain and torrential rains. For its part, the beneficiary families thanked the YGUSSWP staff for their intervention and the services they provide to the displaced in the camps. The inauguration was attended by the representative of the branch of the Supreme Council for Affairs in the directorate, Abdullah Al-Kawkabani, and the head of the YGUSSWP, Rifaat Hassan.
