Tur Al Baha District – Lahj Governorate – is a single rural hospital that covers the needs of 60,000 people – the population census of the district – for health services, in addition to thousands of patients who come to Tur Al Baha Hospital from neighboring areas in the districts of Al-Maqatirah, Al-Mudaraba, Al-Qubaita, and Haifan. Tur Al Baha Hospital has been one of the most important and largest hospitals in the governorate and its neighboring areas with its high equipment since the early seventies. It was established in the year 74 AD (a gift from the Kuwaiti people to the Yemeni people), but today, with all its departments and clinics, it is unable to provide its services to patients as it should… as it is no longer Only one doctor alternates in the hospital, nurses, medical assistants and technicians.
As a humanitarian initiative aimed at helping Tur Al Baha Hospital, the International Committee of the Red Cross announced, on Tuesday, the provision of medical supplies to the hospital in Lahj Governorate. The head of the ICRC delegation in Yemen, Katrina Ritz, said on her Twitter account that the committee “recently supported the Tor Al Baha Hospital in Lahj, which serves about 70,000 people, with medical materials and supplies.”
