The training is part of the Flexible Community Healthcare project in Yemen.
Fifteen healthcare workers from the Yemen Red Crescent Society’s branch in Hadhramout will receive theoretical and practical knowledge, information, experiences, and skills on community-based psychosocial support during the training period. This will be provided by a senior officer in mental health and psychosocial support at the Yemen Red Crescent Society.
During the opening session, Dr. Murtada Ibrahim bin Yahya, Assistant Secretary-General for Health Affairs at the Yemen Red Crescent Society and Head of the Hadhramout branch, highlighted the psychological and social pressures faced by healthcare workers in challenging work environments, especially in areas affected by conflicts or natural disasters.
