The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen (SDRPY) has implemented development projects at the University of Aden, including equipping the faculties of Pharmacy and Law. The projects included equipping 28 laboratories, including laboratories for pharmaceutical industries and research, in addition to equipping administrative offices, faculty offices, classrooms, postgraduate halls, and the central library in the Faculty of Pharmacy, as well as scientific book libraries.
The program was able to equip and furnish the Criminal Research Laboratory at the Faculty of Law, the first of its kind in Yemen, to support capacity-building programs and train security personnel in the fields of criminal investigations, criminology, and forensic medicine using modern technologies. These projects enhance university education, support scientific research, and contribute to graduating qualified cadres who contribute to sustainable development.
The SDRPY implements development projects and programs targeting vital and essential sectors including humanitarian development, health, infrastructure, energy, and water. Since its establishment in 2018, it has implemented about 229 projects in Yemen, benefiting about 6 million people.
