  • KRCS Inaugurates Medical Center Benefitting 12,000 Yemenis in Taiz

Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

A delegation from the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) inaugurated Yusuf and Nora Health Center in Al- Misrakh District in Taiz Governorate, southwest Yemen. The project is part of the ongoing campaign “Kuwait is by Your Side” for the ninth consecutive year and aims to target around 12,000 individuals.
The center consists of two floors equipped with the latest modern medical equipment and provides various health and medical services to citizens in different departments. It includes a women and maternity clinic, minor surgeries, two specialized clinics on duty, a laboratory, a pharmacy, a reception hall, a doctor on duty room, a radiology department, an emergency department for men and women, an operating room, an intensive care unit, and two ward rooms, in addition to other administrative and service sections.
Shouqi Baazem, the head of the implementing organization for the project, Estijabah Foundation for Humanitarian Aid and Relief, emphasized that this project is one of the most important humanitarian projects being implemented in the region to improve the quality of healthcare in the area.
Deputy Chairman of the KRCS, Anwar Al-Husawi, confirmed in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) the commitment of the sisterly State of Kuwait to provide more support and impactful development projects that alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people in various regions and sectors. He emphasized the importance of getting closer to reality, understanding the concerns, sufferings, and needs of the Yemeni brothers, which will contribute to determining future priorities for support and vital projects.
It is worth mentioning that Kuwait is scheduled to provide a number of development projects in the governorates of Taiz, Shabwah, Hadhramout, and Marib.
