In a collaborative effort between the Kuwaiti “Tanmeia” Charitable Society and “Altwasul For Human Development,” Mansour Al-Khulaifi Model Village has been officially opened in Ma’rib Governorate. This initiative, funded by Kuwait, aims to provide shelter for displaced persons in the region.
Working alongside the Executive Unit for Sheltering the Displaced Persons and the local authority in Ma’rib Governorate, the project specifically targets 60 displaced families. The village comprises 60 houses equipped with essential amenities such as water tanks, a water network, and a sewage network. Additionally, a mosque has been constructed and outfitted to serve the community.
Mr. Saif Muthanna, the head of the Executive Unit for Sheltering Displaced Persons in Ma’rib, commended the State of Kuwait for their ongoing humanitarian efforts across various sectors. He emphasized the significance of residential villages as crucial projects that have a profound impact on the lives of those affected by displacement. Professor Raed Ibrahim, the head of “Altwasul For Human Development,” highlighted the primary objective of such projects: to provide safe and secure homes for displaced persons, ensuring their peace, security, and dignity while safeguarding them from adverse natural conditions.
