Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

In a meeting held in Mukalla, the World Food Organization (FAO) team reviewed with a team from the Dutch embassy the components of the project which aims to rehabilitate agricultural lands and grow wheat using modern technologies in Wadi Hajar. This is part of the Dutch Government-funded Sustainable Water Management, Promoting Good Governance, Resilience, and Renewable Agriculture project, which targets Wadi Hajar in Hadhramout.

The team discussed how to exploit water, implement diversionary channels, and involve the private sector and the local community in wheat production in accordance with the FAO plan to enhance food security.
