Altawasul for Human Development launched this morning in Taiz Governorate, the Economic Empowerment and Livelihoods Project, by distributing 140 transport tuk-tuks, funded by the Kuwait Society for Relief – State of Kuwait. The implementation of Altawasul for Human Development was carried out in coordination with the local authority in the targeted governorates, the Higher Committee for Relief, and the supervision of the Kuwait Society for Relief – Yemen Office
The project included “distributing 140 tuk-tuks to unemployed youth in the governorates of “Abyan – Taiz – Marib.” The project aims to empower young people and create job opportunities that enable them to support their families and be self-sufficient.
During the inauguration, the Undersecretary of Taiz Governorate, Abdulqawi Al-Mikhlafi, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the government and people of Kuwait for the great support they provide to the Yemeni people. This project also will contribute to reducing unemployment and creating real job opportunities for young people.
The Deputy Director of the Kuwaiti Society for Yemen Office, Dr. Adel Baeshen, said that this project is one of the important projects in the aspect of economic empowerment and livelihoods financed by the Kuwait Society for Relief. This project was implemented in several Yemeni governorates based on the need of the Yemeni society to find job opportunities to earn a living, especially in the difficult situation of living conditions that the country is going through.
