Funded the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and implemented by SOS Foundation and “Noon Wa Shin” platform, a debate entitled “Men’s support for women in life roles enhances their participation in public life” was held. It was part of the “Women, Peace and Security” project.

The debate took place last Wednesday evening. It included many activities, such as Ramadan and spiritual chanting. The result of the public vote before the debate was in favor of the loyalist team with 163 votes compared to 22 votes for the opposition team. After the two teams presented arguments and pleadings, the public vote changed to be in favor of the opposition team.

The Women, Peace and Security Project aims to confirm women’s contribution to peace and security, and their impact on humanitarian operations in general.
