Funded by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education, and Vocational Training signed a memorandum of understanding with Yamany Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Relief (YDH) to implement the Orphans Sponsorship and Economic Empowerment project.
The memorandum aims to sponsor orphans and economically empower their families in its second phase in the governorates of Aden, Lahj, Ma’rib, Hadhramout, Al-Mahrah, Taiz, Al Hodeidah, and Al Jawf.
The project targets 1,300 orphan boys and girls, providing them with school kits and sponsoring their education, healthcare, and livelihood. Additionally, the project offers training opportunities to 440 families in various professions. After completing the training, they will receive the necessary resources to start small businesses, creating sustainable employment opportunities.
