Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) announced the provision of new funding of $88 million to meet the humanitarian needs in Yemen, and to confront the worsening food insecurity crisis in the country in 2023.

According to Reuters, the agency reported that the Humanitarian Aid Office will allocate $47.791 million for food, health and water assistance in 16 governorates through NGO partners. It indicated that more than $36.370 million will be allocated to support the World Food Program to fund food aid, $600,000 to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and $300,000 to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs to support their activities.

Yemen is suffering from the worst economic and humanitarian crisis in the world, according to UN reports.
