The European Union and Sweden contributed new funding totaling $49.37 million to strengthen resilience, enhance livelihoods, food security and climate adaptation in Yemen. The recently signed agreement to support the third phase of the joint program to support livelihoods, food security and climate adaptation in Yemen.

Rural Resilience 3, will extend over a period of three years, starting in March 2022. The program aims to strengthen the capacity of crisis-affected communities to manage local risks and shocks to increase resilience and self-reliance. The program will also specifically target the most vulnerable groups in society, including women, the unemployed, youth, marginalized minorities, internally displaced persons, as well as host communities.
