The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) delivered the tools of the trade to the beneficiaries of the professional training and business skills support project in Yemen’s Al-Mahra Governorate, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
The project provided basic tools for car maintenance and mechanics to 24 individuals, sewing machines to 30 female trainees, and carpentry tools to 20 beneficiaries in Al-Ghaydah and Haswain districts in Al-Mahra Governorate.
The project aims to train young Yemeni men and women in professional, technical, and commercial skills, including food processing, handloom weaving, sewing, car maintenance, mobile phone and home appliance repair, and solar energy system maintenance and installation techniques. It benefits 270 individuals directly and 1,890 indirectly.
The assistance comes as part of the humanitarian and relief projects provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to encourage a culture of entrepreneurship, enhance opportunity of employment and participation of the Yemeni people in professional life, and support the state of economic recovery in Yemen.
