During the blessed Eid al-Adha holidays, the Turkish Red Crescent distributed sacrificial meat to 6,000 families in five Yemeni governorates: Aden, Abyan, Lahj, al-Dhale’e, and Taiz.

Ibrahim Obaid, head of the aid group’s branch in Yemen, explained that this initiative comes “within the framework of the Turkish association’s continuous efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people, especially poor and displaced families, by providing them with various humanitarian aid.”

Obaid indicated that the distribution process included the neediest families, displaced people, and people with special needs in the targeted governorates over a period of 4 days.
