The Yemen Red Crescent Society (YRCS) has initiated a significant project in Bani Matar District, aimed at enhancing water accessibility through sustainable means. This project involves the installation of a solar-powered water pumping system and the construction of a 100 cubic meter concrete water storage tank.

Funded by the European Union and supported by the German Red Cross, this initiative is part of the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection (ECHO) Public-Private Partnership (PPP) activities. The project is designed not only to provide clean water but also to improve the overall health conditions in the community. It will directly benefit over 3,590 residents across five villages in the district, contributing to the region’s resilience and health by ensuring a steady supply of safe water.
