  • HUMAN ACCESS, Women’s bags and awareness activities to empower women and enhance their role in Marib

HUMAN ACCESS in Marib Governorate implemented various activities within the Protection and Livelihood Support Project “Safe Space for Women and Girls,” funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), to support women in Yemen, introduce them to their role in society, and raise their cultural level.

In Al-Matar area, the safe space delivered women’s bags containing personal hygiene supplies and various women’s tools to 13 beneficiaries of the most vulnerable pregnant women.

The space also presented valuable advice on pregnancy care to increase awareness of the importance of health care during pregnancy and to improve the mental health of mothers-to-be.

Additionally, the space also organized three awareness sessions, the first on effective communication in the family and society, while the second focused on enhancing the social role of women.

The third session addressed the importance of identification documents and how to obtain them, emphasizing that obtaining identification documents is extremely important for accessing social safety networks and protection mechanisms.

In Al-Jufaina area, the safe space conducted an awareness session entitled “Family Guidance and its Positive Repercussions on the Family and Society”.

Further, the safe space in Al-Rawda area and Al-Mil camps hosted a meeting for the community peer network to evaluate performance, take advantage of the positives, and avoid the negatives, so as to develop and improve performance for the advancement of women and society as a whole.
