First-phase of funding economic projects was launched in Marib, with the support and funding of the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen, and within the Sheba Program for Economic Empowerment for Women, implemented by the Marib Girls Foundation.
The phase targeted 22 women out of 60 female entrepreneurs within the Sheba Program for Economic Empowerment for Women, who were chosen after passing the nomination, evaluation stage and accepted based on the business incubator standards.
The Sheba Program for Economic Empowerment for Women aims to create new working and thinking mechanisms in implementing projects for Yemeni women, contribute to supporting projects arising, and strengthening the role of women in the economic scene by qualifying and preparing them to establish targeted and free projects in accordance with high professional footing to start in labor market and compete in local markets. And then to showcase the promising female talents and putting them on the track to success and production.
The Sheba Program for Economic Empowerment is the first program to empower Yemeni women economically in Marib Governorate Which is supporting and helpful for businesswomen to provide income for them and their families and contribute to improving livelihoods in the governorate.
The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen works to provide economic and development support in all fields in Yemen and contribute to capacity building of the Yemeni community and improving infrastructure and basic services provided to Yemeni people.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen has launched more than 204 development projects and initiatives through its offices in the Yemeni governorates in 8 main sectors, adopting the best development and reconstruction practices to contribute to achieving sustainable development in Yemen.
