Millions of children face an insurmountable obstacle due to the lack of essential school supplies, forcing many to abandon their dreams. However, a beacon of hope has emerged through the distribution of students’ backpacks.

As part of the Restoring Education and Learning project (REAL), a three-year initiative, UNICEF distributes backpacks to students. These backpacks are providing a vital educational lifeline to Yemeni children in 14 districts across seven governorates. The project aims to equip 560,000 students with crucial tools, including school bags filled with notebooks, pens, pencils, rulers, erasers, pencil sharpeners, and colored pencils.

This initiative targets students in primary education, offering them the necessary supplies to continue their learning journey despite the ongoing conflict.
