In an ongoing effort to restore and enhance education in Yemen, UNICEF, in collaboration with the Public Works Project, is actively involved in the maintenance and procurement of solar panels for 232 schools across the country. This initiative is part of the broader Restoring Education and Learning Project (REAL), which aims to ensure that children in Yemen have access to uninterrupted education through sustainable energy solutions.

Funded by the World Bank and the Global Partnership for Education, the project not only supports the physical infrastructure of these educational institutions but also promotes environmental sustainability. The use of solar energy reduces dependency on unreliable traditional power sources, thereby providing a stable learning environment for students.
