SOUL for Development has concluded its new monthly cycle of distributing preventive supplementary nutrition, supported by the World Food Programme (WFP). The distribution targeted pregnant women, nursing mothers, and children under the age of two, and was carried out through 152 sites in the districts of Al-Mokha, Al-Waze’iyah, Mawza’, Dhubab, Al-Khokha, and Hays.
As part of this initiative, health awareness sessions were organized by community health volunteers, discussing the importance of proper nutrition to improve the nutritional status of families.
Amid the economic crisis in Yemen, providing supplementary nutrition to these vulnerable groups is considered of utmost importance to tackle the ongoing nutritional challenges.
