Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

With funding from the World Bank and the Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP), and under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries Wealth, Salem Abdullah Al-Socatri, the Small and Micro Enterprises Promotion Agency (SMEPS) launched the introductory workshop for the food security response project in Yemen (FSRRP) in Aden Governorate.
The workshop was attended by a number of agents, consultants, and directors general of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries Wealth, and the participation of the Aden Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in addition to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
At the opening, the ministry team discussed with the SMEPS specialists the idea of the project, its objectives, components, target areas, number of beneficiaries, purpose of the project, and the expected results.
The team emphasized the importance of enhancing coordination between the ministry and the agency during the project implementation, with the aim of directing it to the real areas of need, to come up with a result that benefits the community, reflects the needs of farmers, and works on the sustainability of projects on the ground.
The workshop concluded with a number of purposeful recommendations and theses that can achieve the desired aspirations of the project implementation, to maintain food security in our country.
