The General Authority for the Preservation of Historic Cities and the Society of Traditional
Building Craftsmen have signed a cooperation agreement under which dozens of ancient
houses in Old Sana’a that were damaged by rain and torrential rain will be restored. The head
of the Al-Sana’ani Al-Usta Building Craftsmen Association, Ahmed Saad Nawas, explained
that the association recently started the process of restoring 48 historic houses that were
subjected to various damages due to heavy rains last year.
