Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and Qatar Charity, in partnership with Yemen for Cancer Care & Charity Foundation, have launched a project in Cairo to support humanitarian cases of Yemeni cancer patients seeking treatment in Egypt.

The ceremony was attended by high-level figures from the Qatari and Yemeni sides.

The project will cover the treatment of Yemeni cancer patients arriving from Yemen as well as those residing in Egypt by covering travel, accommodation, and necessary medical interventions in Egypt.

This initiative addresses the challenges faced by the healthcare facilities in Yemen and the deteriorating living conditions due to the difficult circumstances the country has experienced for the past nine years.

The project is expected to benefit a total of 166 cases, including 120 patients who will be brought from Yemen and 46 cancer cases from those already in Cairo.
