With the support of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, the nutrition project for children under five and pregnant and lactating mothers, in Aden, Lahj, Taiz, Hodeidah, Hadramout, Hajjah, and Marib, continued to provide its medical and nutritional services to the beneficiaries, numbering during the period from 2 to 8 September 2021, 27,755 beneficiaries.
9,627 children were screened, 270 people with severe acute malnutrition were treated, 422 cases of moderate malnutrition were treated, and 432 children were provided with medical services to prevent them from malnutrition.
4,445 pregnant and lactating mothers were screened, 412 cases were provided with treatment services, 1,781 received IMCI (integrated management of childhood illnesses) services, 9,151 patients benefited from awareness- raising activities, and 1,115 women benefited from counseling.
This comes within the relief and humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom through the center to alleviate the suffering of people in Yemen considering the humanitarian crisis they are living.
King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center continued the implementation of the Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation Project in Al-Khokha District, Al-Hodeidah Governorate.
During the period from 2 to 8 September 2021, 315,000 liters of drinking water were pumped, 315,000 liters of usable water were pumped, 29 moves were made to clearing away the waste from camps for internally displaced persons, and 1,600 containers for transporting and preserving water were distributed, benefiting 8,400 people.
