Aden, Yemen – The internationally recognized Yemeni government has announced the launch of Starlink satellite internet service in the country. This initiative aims to enhance communication services and provide high-quality internet access.
The decision was made during a government meeting chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, where the details of the site licensing with the service provider company were reviewed, along with the mechanisms for its provision through the Public Telecommunications Corporation as an authorized agent.
The government affirmed that all necessary measures have been completed for the service’s launch, emphasizing that it will offer citizens high-speed internet at competitive prices.
A large-scale campaign is scheduled to be launched soon to market Starlink services through the corporation’s sales outlets across various governorates. The campaign will include the sale and activation of devices, subscription fee payments, and the provision of technical support to users.
The government also urged all current Starlink device users who brought their devices into the country illegally to register them and complete the necessary procedures to rectify their legal status. This registration will be open for a specific period to be announced later, helping users avoid any potential legal actions.
