Amer Al-Ameri, Deputy Governor of Hadhramaut Governorate for Wadi and Desert Affairs, inaugurated a medical camp for cataract surgery with lens implantation (Phaco) in the city of Seiyun on Monday. The camp is being organized by the Al-Dameer Charity Foundation, in cooperation with Roaya Eye and Retina Hospital, and funded by the Patient Aid Fund Association in the State of Kuwait.

The two-day camp aims to perform 200 cataract surgeries.

Al-Ameri praised the Kuwaiti support and their qualitative interventions in the health sector through their partners from local civil society organizations. He pointed out the importance of establishing such specialized medical camps in various specialties to alleviate the suffering of citizens in light of the current circumstances.
