The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) delivered solar energy equipment to the office of the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training in Taiz Governorate, as part of the Vocational Training and Entrepreneurship Project, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Small and Micro Enterprises Promotion Services (SMEPS).
The Vocational Training Office in Taiz will supervise the qualification of trainees in practical skills in solar photovoltaic systems, solar panel installation, and energy storage solutions, in addition to comprehensive knowledge about solar energy systems, including basic principles in design, installation, and maintenance, benefiting 60 trainees.
The project aims to train Yemeni youth in professional, technical, and commercial skills, including food manufacturing, handloom, sewing, car maintenance, mobile phones, home appliances, and solar energy system maintenance and installation techniques. It will benefit 270 beneficiaries directly and 1,890 beneficiaries indirectly.
This is part of the humanitarian and relief projects provided by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to encourage the culture of entrepreneurship, enhance the possibility of employing and engaging Yemeni people in professional life, and support the state of economic recovery in Yemen.
